People First

We respect individual personality, choice, and dignity — both within our team and with every homeowner and business we serve. Whether we’re handling an AC repair, system installation, or a routine maintenance visit, we believe people deserve honesty, respect, and clear communication from start to finish.

Advisor, Not Salesperson

Our role is to educate and guide. We explain HVAC repair and installation options clearly, answer questions honestly, and help homeowners make informed decisions without pressure. Ownership of your home and your choices stays with you.

Quality Over Shortcuts

We prioritize long-term HVAC reliability over quick fixes. From proper system sizing to careful installation practices and detailed repair work, we believe quality craftsmanship matters — because your comfort depends on it.

Employee-First Culture

We invest in our team because confident, respected employees deliver better HVAC service. A stable, supported crew creates consistency, accountability, and better experiences for the homeowners and businesses who trust us with their comfort.

Our Story

Comfort Commander began in 2007 with a simple question:

What if there was a way for our family to build something meaningful together?

David and Krista Ehlinger weren’t originally trying to build a company. They were trying to build a life that created opportunity for their family — one rooted in hard work, learning a trade, and building something together with purpose.

The early years weren’t easy. David spent long days teaching, running HVAC service calls, and doing whatever was needed to keep things moving forward. There were plenty of moments where choosing a safer path would have made sense.

BUILT THROUGH FAITH, HARD WORK AND TRUST

Looking back, there were moments that felt bigger than coincidence. After retaking his licensing exam multiple times, David eventually learned a grading error had occurred — meaning he had actually passed much earlier than expected. Moments like that shaped the way we approached both business and life moving forward.

Over time, what started as a way to support one family became something larger: a trusted HVAC company serving homeowners and businesses across San Antonio and South Texas with honest communication, skilled workmanship, and people-first service.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Today, when someone calls Comfort Commander, they’re often dealing with more than just a broken HVAC system. There’s stress, uncertainty, and the question of who they can trust in their home or business.

That’s why we approach AC repair, HVAC installation, maintenance, and commercial service the same way we always have:
We listen first.
We explain things clearly.
And we help people make informed decisions without pressure.
